Rosa from New Mexico

My name is Rosa and I take care of my grandma Matilda. My grandma is an amazing woman who raised nine children and many many grandchildren. She is the rock of my family. My grandma was always the strongest person in my life but now she needs 24/7 care because she often forgets to eat and take her medicine. She also has a history of falling due to her diabetes. But taking care of her has been a blessing because I have learned so much more about her as a person and her story. I do all her shopping for her and I have to convince her not to use her walker alone because she gets so tired and out of breath I worry for her 24/7. So three years ago I moved her in with me and now I am her caregiver.
