Deborah from New York

I take care of my husband who has end stage renal failure-kidney disease. I take him to all of his medical appointments. Dialysis is in the center 3 days a week and for 4 hours at a time. I sit there with him the whole time. I also give him medications while at Dialysis, and also when at home. It is a full time job for me to take care of him and our home, and also 3 cats. I have no time to work, let alone time for me only about one day or two a are free, weekends are busy attending church and catching up on housework. We live on a very limited income with no help besides me at home. This is an update to my family caregiving story that I have already shared.
