Melissa from Texas

My husband Bill was injured in a trucking accident when the rig he was driving ran off the road and hit an embankment. I remember the day as if it was yesterday. Me and our oldest daughter Racheal were in the middle of supermarket when I got the call. We left our cart and had to drive two hours away to the hospital where he was He had a fractured skull, a broken femur and three broken vertebrae. He had a stroke on the operating table. After a three hour surgery we was told he may never be able to walk again. And they were right. He's been in a wheelchair ever since. It's been three years so I have little hope. I help with with his daily living skills and I am blessed to have wonderful children who help us any chance they get. They come two to three times a week and help even if it is just so I can get out of the house and get a break.
