Will from Connecticut

My name is Will and my father meant the world to me. His name was John, and he was the smartest and least arrogant man I've known. My father suffered from nerve damage after getting in a really bad car accident in 2007. The damage left him unable to utilize the left side of his body. And even with this setback, he never let it compromised his ability to do anything. In 2014, my dad was hit with a diagnosis of brain cancer. His speech was slurred and he would become forgetful. During this time, I came in to take care of my dad. Some days were good and some days he would forget who I was. I loved the time that I was gifted to spend with my dad before he departed this world. I could never forget what he instilled in me and how much he pushed me to be a better person.
