Karen from Hawaii

My mom Mildred had dementia and though we had disagreements, she would not remember them. So my advice as a caregiver is to also forget those bad moments because those with dementia or Alzheimer's don't remember them. They also forget how to do everyday things like making the bed. Once I left the linens for my mom and came back to find her unable to make the bed. She was frustrated but later figured it out. So even if they forgot how to do something one time, that doesn't mean they've forgotten it forever.
