Kimberly from Ohio

I work full time and also take care of my 33 year old son who suffers from Congestive Heart Failure, Non Hodgkin Lymphoma and has had an Ileostomy. He is disabled, receives SSI and is on Medicare, but per Medicaid regulations does not qualify for in-home assistance. He is considered a fall risk and is on a walker. He is home alone and has to fend for himself. He has been in and out of the hospital and SNF several times in the last year. As I am typing this comment I am sitting with him in ER. I need help taking care of my son and every social worker we have come in contact with presumably makes attempts to get us help, but we still have none. He is my son and I do not have a problem taking care of him, but I am tired and need help.
