Janice from Kentucky

My sisters and I were joint caregivers for our father, Virgil. We put together a family plan for caregiving. Though still difficult to see loved ones in transition it was much easier working together for their comfort. For my Mom, Willana, it was much more difficult. I had some help periodically from family but mostly I was on my own making her healthcare and financial decisions. I went through this before many of my peers 17 years ago and didn't have anyone to relate to then. Now many of my peers are going through it today. I wrote a book, Caregiving: A Daughter's Story to help caregivers.
