Amelia from Washington

Steven served his country. He was fighting type 2 diabetes and extreme hypertension. The doctors had no idea where they came from. After a kidney transplant things didn't get better. After talking to a Congressman, we learned he was sprayed with agent orange in the US. His heart is affected and he has lost toes. He is now wheelchair bound. It is a full-time job meeting his needs. Dressing, bathing, along with pt, and skilled wound care nurse,we see 4 specialists. Life at our house revolves around his care. Over the last few months we we're granted a few caregiver hours from VA. It has been a long haul. Hope to find an accessible way to spend our 45th wedding anniversary.
