Gwen from California

So I have been caring for our mother for more than ten years now. She is diabetic and has been in and out of hospitals and rehab centers. Recently she had a simple surgery that turned life threatening as she some how got a flesh eating bacteria on her abdomen. The wound is almost larger than 12 inches and we have to clean it two times a day. The wound is open allowing it to heal from the inside out with very loose stitching. It has been very hard on me and my father to care for her. We have tried to coordinate our schedules so someone is always home with her to make sure she takes her medication and is being watched over and also feed her as she is not capable of simple tasks at the current moment.
