My husband, Don Sponburg, was a police officer and Vietnam veteran. He became ill in 1996 with extreme abdominal pain. We found out he had colon cancer and a colonoscopy and complete the bi-section surgery. I went to the hospital daily to take care of him and clean his catheter and feed him. He did not have chemo based on the doctors decision since they felt they got the cancer out during the 1st surgery. He went on to have several surgeries and chemo and died on 10/13/2002 of colon cancer. I took care of him through the entire ordeal. It was very difficult, but I would not trade the time we spent together. I love you Don!!
