Terry from Indiana

I care for my mother Lois at the home she and my father built 62 years ago. She is 90 years old! My father was a veteran of four years of World War Two including the invasion on D Day! He died in 2001.

For 8 years I stopped by every day and brought food. In 2009 I realized that she needed more attention and care than a daily drop in. She insisted on remaining in the home that her and my father had built so I sold my home and moved back to the home of my childhood! I would have guessed that it would be no longer than one or two years. It's been 8 years! There are good times and rough times but I would not trade them for anything! It is an honor and a privilege to serve my mother in this way! I pray that I will be so fortunate as I become dependent on another for my care!
