Margarita from Alabama
I was widowed early and left with three young children to raise. Fortunately my husband was able to provide adequate coverage so that financially our family was able to survive and flourish. We had a son named Charles, Jr. that has Down's syndrome. Charlie, now 46, has been a true blessing in our family. When I was 52, my eldest daughter, Mechelle, was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and had to move back home due to the debilitating symptoms this disease afflicted her with. So in essence I became a double caregiver. This whole life experience has come with huge disappointments but even bigger blessings. As a family we have come to know the true meaning of unconditional love and support!
