I am caring for both parents currently. My father was diagnosed with Cancer in December 2016 and we have been going through chemo since January. We've finished his first 6 chemo's now so just waiting to get a PET scan and bone marrow biopsy to see if the cancer cells are gone and what the next steps will be for him. He also has non diabetic peripheral neuropathy which has been exacerbated with the chemo and he has become less mobile.

My mom was diagnosed a year and a half ago with Alzheimer's/Dementia and Parkinson's Disease, along with COPD, and we have regular bouts of pneumonia which takes its toll on her. Needless to say I quit my job to care for them, as long as I can physically and financially do it, but it is tough.
