Ever since I was little, my mother, Brenda, has suffered from MS or multiple scoliosis. Walking around, cooking, doing chores, even being outside in the heat would drain her. She couldn't make it to many of my school events nor could she play with her family outdoors. But through it all, my mother never let it get to her. When I turned 18, my mother went through a really bad rough patch with her illness. She wasn't as strong anymore and needed constant help. I was there for her to give her her injections, to drive her to the store, to cook her meals and to do chores. Each day, she got stronger and stronger. I was so happy for her. Some days were rough but my mother never gave up hope. Today, she is stronger than ever and has come a long way since then. She can drive again, has found enjoyment in cooking and has even taken up gardening. She still can't stay in the sun for long but she enjoys life a lot more now.
