I am a caregiver to my neighbor's 1 year old, 3 year old and 5 year old. I have been caring for them at their house for about a month now while she is in the hospital. She had a miscarriage and her bowel was pierced when the D&C was performed. She has been fighting for her life ever since. Her husband and father to the three children has been at the hospital with her the entire time. I care for the children from 5pm until 7am everyday. I work from 8:30am-4:30 pm Monday-Friday. This means I'm in charge of homework, dinner, baths, story time. I'm fortunate that my husband cooks the dinner every night and brings it to us across the street. The 5 year old has a small understanding of what is going on but the younger 2 keep asking where mommy and daddy are. It's been difficult to try to explain to them what is happening without confusing them and having them worry.
