Yolanda from Kansas

Hi everyone. My name is Yolanda but everyone calls me Lannie. I live with and care for my sister Julia who has Parkinson's disease. She is very shaky and unsteady which makes it really difficult for her to manage on her own. I am 37 and my sister is 25 years older than I am, we have different mothers and I was a miracle baby who popped up quite unexpectedly! Julia has had Parkinson's for a long time but it wasn't really bad. She took care of me when I was young, she was basically a little mommy to me and now it's my turn to take care of her. Mom and dad live in a condo style apartment in a semi retirement village and they come over a few times a month for dinners and we go over there a few times a month. Our lives are pretty busy and we don't have a lot of free time with my work and our running around and visiting mom and dad and visiting her mother too. I take Julia everywhere I go except work, and she's even tried to get me to take her there too, she gets bored and anything we do makes her happy. I'll be with Julia as long as she is alive and vice versa. We're attached at the hip. I can't imagine anything different.
