Jan from Hawaii

Since the passing of my mother-in-law in late 2015, our attention has been on our 98 year old father-in-law, Sonny. Both his daughter and I depend on the wonderful professional caregivers that make sure his physical health is maintained. They are "granddaughter types" who also cook and clean so his daughter Carolyn and I can concentrate on Dad's daily happiness. We listen to his concerns and wishes and make sure he can do whatever he wants. He wanted to go to Las Vegas and play slots, blackjack and craps. Thanks to Vacations Hawaii for the ease in taking him on the flight and into the hotel. Thanks to California Hotel for accommodating his difficulties standing and throwing the dice. His bigger wish was to have a dog since my mother-in-law did not want a dog in the house. As soon as we returned from Las Vegas, we got him his first dog. I believe this dog is the true caregiver because of the unconditional love she gives Dad. Wherever Dad is, AB is right next to him even if he is in the bathroom. AB makes Dad smile which makes all of us extremely happy.
