Roy from New Mexico

I cared for my mother, Minnie, in her final years. She lived with my family and blessed us every day. My mother did not want to go to a rest home or an assisted living home and I could not imagine her ever being happy anywhere but my home. My young children involved her in their daily lives and everyone was better from it. My wife worked with her on a daily basis and learned so much. I think she was my wife's best friend. My mom has passed, but my family thinks and talks about her every day.

I started the above paragraph with "I cared for my mother, Minnie, in her final years", but the truth is my mother cared and blessed my family more that we ever helped her.
