Edie from Illinois

Hi, my name is Edith and I currently take care of my mother Patricia, who is diagnosed with stage 4 terminal lung cancer and metastatic breast cancer that has spread throughout her body. I spend hours a day with her talking, cleaning, cooking ect. I enjoy all her stories, I some days wonder what it will be like to tell my own children stories. I miss my mom being up and able to do more. It is really hard for me to see her go downhill. I am still having trouble processing everything, I am only 36 years old and sometimes wonder why I have been chosen to go through all the emotional stress involved in my work.
