I am my husband’s, Justin, caregiver. He is currently on home hemodialysis for end stage renal failure and congestive heart failure. I am primarily responsible for all of his medical and daily needs. We have been married for 5 years and struggling with this disease for 3 of them. Times may be difficult, but I would never change a thing to have him in my life. Doing dialysis 4 days a week requires a lot of time, dedication, and determination. We are currently being evaluated to have him placed on the ECU transplant list. The most difficult thing about this entire process has been watching someone that I love dearly go through so much, knowing that there isn’t anymore that I could do than I already do. But we continue to fight each and everyday to keep him alive.
