Erica from Illinois

My name is Erica, I am a caregiver for my mom Cathy. She is 62 and was diagnosed with Alzheimer/dementia at 58. I moved her in with me 4 years ago to take care of her. She went from early stages to the last stage in 4 years. It has been really hard. I raised 7 kids, worked full time and went to school when I brought her home. I feel like I have no support, like no one cares. I was forced to quit school and only work part time now. It's hard enough being a caregiver and even harder when it's your mother.
